The real Cape Town

This special offer combines the highlights in and around Cape Town and offers both culinary and musical delicacies to you.

Day 1

Upon arrival at the airport a transfer to the Guest House takes place. You will be picked up at Cape Town International Airport and transferred to Nine Flowers Guest House. Before checking in you will receive a city briefing along with some useful insider tips. Depending on your time of arrival there will be an opportunity to take a walk through the historical Botanical Gardens, the Parliament as well as along the popular Long Street. Early evening sees you enjoying a glass of local wine in our beautiful court yard, followed by a 3-course dinner in a typical African restaurant.

You will start the next day exploring the Mother City in an open double-decker bus which allows you to hop on and off as you like. This tour takes you to the attractions in and around Cape Town- including the opportunity to go up Table Mountain (Please note: The tickets for the cable car are not included in this package). The evening is at your own disposal.

On day 3 you enjoy an unforgettable day tour of the spectacular Cape Peninsula. This tour combines the scenic beauty of the coastline and the unique fauna and flora found only in this region. We proceed to the Cape Point National Park where the guide can explain the unique “Fynbos” floral kingdom to you and there is a chance to see some wildlife. You are escorted to the historic lighthouse on Danger Point and are given time to walk to the Cape of Good Hope. After lunch we visit the colony of African Penguins at Boulders Beach and if time allows you have the opportunity to explore Simonstown, a picturesque old naval village.

Another exciting trip awaits you on the Explorer Bus. You head for the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, these gardens are world famous for their beauty and diversity of the Cape flora it displays against the breathtaking eastern slopes of Table Mountain. You can enjoy one or several walks in the gardens different eco systems. Marvel at the diversity on the “Fynbos”, “Vlei” (wetlands) or “Forest and Veld” trails. Take an unrushed stroll through medicinal and fragrance gardens, or walk on the wilder side through Yellow wood and Stink Wood forests.

Savour the sights and sounds of Cape Town from the back of your trusty bike, with a guide behind you every pedal of the way! It's fun, healthy and active - and what's more it's good for the environment. Leave the historic V&A Waterfront from the five-star Cape Grace Hotel as evening descends on the city. Follow Beach Road as waves lap up on the shore, with the iconic Green Point Stadium beside you. Idle through the Company Gardens, home to Parliament, the National Gallery and much more! Soak up the bars and cafes on Long Street before the smell of Malay curry fills the air in Bo-Kaap with its mosques and coloured houses. Return to the exclusive Waterfront Marina Yacht Basin for a glass of sparkling wine and gourmet canapes at the famous Bascule Bar as the sun sinks below Table Mountain! It's the Eco-Active adventure of a lifetime - so what are you waiting for?

The next day day your wine tour starts at noon. At the first stop the guests are spoilt with a delicious picnic lunch. After lunch you head for a cellar tour and tasting at the renowned Simonsig Estate, the first producers of Cap Classique wine. You are taken on an informative journey through the process of wine production at this long established estate before getting to taste the Champagne-style and other top quality wines in their charming “old-school” tasting room. Guests have an hour to wander through the streets of the historic and picturesque town of Stellenbosch before you drive to the summit of Helshoogte where the panoramic view forms the backdrop to your next wine tasting. The wines of the modern Tokara estate are stylish and vibrant in keeping with the trend amongst innovative wine makers in South Africa. In the late afternoon you drive through the Franschhoek valley to the old Huguenot settlement, Franschhoek. With it’s tradition of fine characteristic wines a legacy of the French artisans who first planted vines here, Franschhoek is also considered to be the gourmet capital of the Western Cape. You’ll enjoy another wine tasting followed by a gourmet dinner at your own expense in a restaurant of your choice. After your meal you will be taken safely back to the guest house, hoping that you have had a wonderful experience surrounded by the beauty of the Cape winelands.

After breakfast in the Guest House, this Sunday morning is dedicated to a Gospel tour into a Township. The churches are of great importance for the Township municipalities; accordingly emotional services are celebrated here. Gospel plays a special role in the everyday life of the local community, and you also have the opportunity to experience a Gospel choir live. The rest of the day is at your disposal.

On your final day you have the opportunity to do some last minute shopping for souvenirs at a local craft market in Green Market Square.
